Evaluation of course

Evaluation Of Course

With hair, the one lesson that I was taught is that practise is very important because although in class we looked at padding and frizzing which at the time I struggled with, practising at home on my doll helped me process and become better. I was pleased with the fact that throughout this course I was able to learn all about tudor hair being able to identify the texture, type of padding wigs they used in portraits which is an achievement and it shows that I am learning. I struggled with padding as I was never able to get it equal on both sides however after asking questions I learnt that parting the hair equally helped a lot. I also struggled coming up with a contemporary hair design, however with more research into designers that were inspired from tudor hair I became more creative. It was nice working with a partner because we got to socialise and the whole process was fun, and also designing a look which they had to create was interesting as some of the techniques our partners did differently to how I would which taught me new skills. Overall I was taught the technical skills of how to create an Elizabethan hairstyle but at the same time I enjoyed looking at the theory side of it and researching it which balanced out the theory side to the practical side.
