For our assessment we will be looking at Queen Elizabeth and focusing on her make up and hair. We are going to look at the textures, styles, shaping, wigs etc. that was favoured by Queen Elizabeth. 

We are going to have a timed assessment and create a contemporary Elizabethan hairstyle. For my research I started of by watching the film Elizabeth which helped me to familiarise myself with the textures and shapes of Elizabethan hair.

In this film Elizabeth undergoes a major transformation. Her hair was a beautiful golden red colour and to show youth and innocence at a younger age her hair was left down. As she got older and started to become wiser Elizabeth change her hairstyles into more mature looks later on transforming the hairstyles into wigs as the chemicals left her hair in a bad state.
